A look at original sin and the fall of the Angels, this is the twenty first in a series of lectures on the Catholic Catechism recorded in 1965 by Archbishop Fulton J Sheen in the privacy of his own study and first broadcast under the title 'Life is Worth Living'. A master communicator, Fulton Sheen recorded this insightful overview of the teachings of the Holy Catholic Church.
There are two general kinds of sin. Personal sin is sin we commit by an act of our will. Original sin attaches to our nature because we are human. God gave us a test of love. One-third of the angels failed this test because they would not acknowledge their dependence on God. Because angels can see the consequences of their acts, their sin cannot be forgiven.
