Under the Fourth Commandment, children must be obedient to their parents as a gracious sign of serving the Lord and obeying God Himself. All authority comes from God. In the Fifth to Tenth Commandments, we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. Our Lord tied together love of Himself, love of neighbor, and love of ourselves. Love of enemies proves whether our love is truly divine.
